Anglers place at tourney

The Hart County High School Anglers reeled in a third-place overall finish on Lake Keowee at a PBC High School Trail tournament over the weekend. Two of Hart County’s teams landed in the top-10 individually as well.

Hart takes out Franklin on diamond

Consistent runs helped the Hart County High School softball team secure a big victory over the No. 1 team in the region last Thursday in Carnesville. The Lady Diamond Dogs (11-6, 3-4) hit the road Sept. 25 and toppled Franklin County (14-5, 6-2) 5-2 to complete back-to-back region wins.

Still no region team can dethrone Volleydogs

The Hart County High School Volleydogs kept their hot streak alive this past week with some big region and non-region wins. The Volleydogs still hold the No. 1 spot in Region 8-AAA with an undefeated region record at 8-0 and a 17-9 overall record.

Youth rec league hosts football games at Herdon Stadium

Hart County Rec Football hosted Oglethorpe and Banks counties on Saturday, Sept. 26, at Herndon Stadium for a day of Northeast Georgia Youth Football Association competition. Hart County took four out of five contests on the day. The 7U team beat Oglethorpe County 18-2.

Hart County football game canceled Friday

Hart County's football game scheduled for Friday against Greater Atlanta Christian has been canceled as the Hart County Charter System continues contact tracing after several players and team personnel have been quarantined for possible exposure.

The Hart County middle school and high school angler teams hit the waters of Lake Hartwell over the weekend for the group’s first intra-club tournament of the season. Results are as follows: Middle School: • 1st: Jacob Fowler & Joshua Haley 13.53 lbs • 2nd: Landry Carter 12.
