Lady Dogs bounce back in win

Despite dropping to fourth place in the McDonald’s Shootout tournament, the Hart County High School Lady Dogs’ basketball team (8-5) bounced back Monday with a tight 45-43 win over Rabun Gap-Nacoochee.

Hart County to battle for shootout title

A 42-point victory over South Atlanta Tuesday night sent the Hart County High School basketball team to the championship round of the annual Bulldog-hosted McDonald’s Shootout tournament in Hartwell. The No. 3-ranked Bulldogs (8-1) drubbed South Atlanta 80-38 on Tuesday, Dec.

Bulldogs place 21 players on All-Region team

The Hart County High School football team dominated the all-region squad this year. The Bulldogs saw 21 of its players land on the Region 8-AAA all-region team, including six first-team selections. Running back Malachi Thomas earned first-team honors.

Bulldogs take next step on early signing day

National Signing Day saw four of Hart County’s own ink their names to play at the next level. Cane Berrong, Malachi Thomas, Montae Maxwell and Xaiver Brown all signed national letters of intent on Wednesday, Dec. 17 at Hart County High School’s Fine Arts Center to play football in college.
