Joyce Smith Joyce Burdette Graham Smith, 75, of Cherry Lane, Hartwell, passed away Sunday, October 24, 2021 at Piedmont Athens Regional Hospital, Athens. Born on July 16, 1946 in Hartwell, she was the daughter of the late Clyde Burdette and Helen Sanders Burdette.

James Dubeau James Edward Dubeau, age 78, of Benson Street, Hartwell, Ga., peacefully passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Rainey Hospice House. He was born in Ft. Worth, Texas, on August 9, 1943 to the late Joseph Francis Dubeau and Nancy Bruner Dubeau.

Nell Caldwell

Nell Caldwell Nell Grace Strickland Caldwell, 91, died October 5, 2021. A native of Winterville, Ga., Nell was a daughter of the late Maude Voyles and Jesse Strickland and the last of 11 children.

Michael Foley Michael Lawrence Foley, passed on October 21, 2021 while fishing on the White River in Arkansas. He was born in Arlington, Va., to Kenneth M. Foley, Sr. and Patricia (Lawrence). He was the husband of Alice (Skelton) Foley.

Maxine Jahnke Mrs. Maxine L. Jahnke, age 85, of Hartwell, passed away on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at her home.  She was born October 27, 1936 to the late Clarance Bauer and Etta Stimer Bauer in Ann Arbor, MI. Mrs. Jahnke was of the Baptist faith.

•Lorene E. Maney, 76, of Tiger, died Oct. 29, 2021. At her request, cremation was chosen and no services will be held. Arrangements are under the care of Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, Hartwell.

•Lisa Imberi, 57, of Canon, died Oct. 28, 2021. Funeral services were held Nov. 2. Whitlock Mortuary, Funerals and Cremations was in charge.

James Roach

James Roach, 69, of Royston, died Oct. 31, 2021. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Pruitt Funeral Home in Royston is in charge.

Lisa McCarty

Lisa McCarty, 58, of Hartwell, died Oct. 8, 2021. A memorial service celebrating Lisa’s life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 6, at the Flat Shoals Baptist Church. The family will receive friends following the service.

Timothy Jackson

Timothy Jackson, 58, of Lavonia, died Oct. 27, 2021. A graveside service was held Oct. 31. Pruitt Funeral Home in Royston was in charge.
