Nell Grace Strickland Caldwell, 91, died October 5, 2021.
A native of Winterville, Ga., Nell was a daughter of the late Maude Voyles and Jesse Strickland and the last of 11 children. She retired from the Internal Revenue Service and lived for many years in Hartwell, where she was an active member of Hartwell First United Methodist Church. Nell was also an active member of the John Benson Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Friday, October 8, at the chapel of Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, EAST. Interment followed at Lester Cemetery.
Survivors include three children: Paul Lamar Caldwell of Hartwell, Alisa (Myron) Newman and Gaye (Charles III) Frazier, all of Suwanee; five grandchildren: Melissa Frazier, Georgia Hardigree (Dr. Billy) Thomas; Charles Frazier IV, Phillip Hardigree and Jesse Frazier; five great-grandchildren: Rylee, Anne, William, Caitlyn and Charles V.
Lord and Stephens Funeral Home, EAST, Athens, was in charge of arrangements.
