Hart preps for pass-happy White County

The stage is set for Hart County’s home-opener against White County (1-0) in Herndon Stadium on Friday, as the Bulldogs look to bounce back from a loss and the Warriors seek to stay undefeated. The AAA No. 8-ranked Hart County Bulldogs are scheduled to face White County at 7:30 p.m.

A more than four-hour road trip to Jesup on three-day’s notice resulted in the Hart County High School Bulldogs’ first loss of the season.

Cross Country Dogs place fifth at N. Ga. Championship

The Hart County Cross Country team ran at the North Georgia Championships at Lamar Murphy in Jefferson on Saturday, Aug. 29. The boys team ran well and finished fifth in its group. Mathew Brown and Diego Martinez were Hart’s best finishers at sixth and seventh with times of 16:37.88 and 16:48.

Volleydogs hope to learn from hard-fought losses

The Hart County High School Volleydogs took a couple of hard hits in non-region matches over the past week, but are hoping to learn from the losses. The Volleydogs suffered two hard-fought losses on the road at Habersham Central on Thursday, Aug. 27 against Jefferson and Habersham Central.

Lady Diamond Dogs drop region game in Stephens

A late-score wasn’t enough to give the Hart County Lady Dogs softball team the victory over Stephens County last week, moving the team’s overall record to 8-3. The Lady Dogs dropped a region road game 2-1 against Stephens County on Wednesday, Aug. 26, marking the team’s third loss of the season.

The Hart County High School Bulldogs continued game-like preparation on Friday, Aug. 29, with an intrasquad scrimmage at Herndon Stadium ahead of what was supposed be their season-opener against Elbert County.

Anglers hook national tourney bid

Teamwork, experience —and a solid sniffer — landed a pair of Hart County High School Anglers a top-five finish in the Mossy Oak Fishing Bassmaster High School Series at Lake Hartwell on Aug. 30, propelling the team to the national stage.

Hart County vs. Elbert County canceled

Elbert County Schools canceled the annual rivarly game between the Bulldogs and the Blue Devils that was scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 4, at The Granite Bowl. The statement posted to elbertbluedevils.

Hart County puts pads on for intrasquad scrimmage No. 1

Football is finally here. Hart County High School football players donned the pads on a wet Friday night as they played their first intra-squad scrimmage of the season on Aug. 21.
Season tickets for the Hart County Bulldogs will go on sale Sept. 1. Tickets are available at the high school from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets for the Elbert County game also go on sale Sept. 1

Hart’s schedule holes filled, fan limit set for Elbert

Hart County’s football schedule has been finalized and the number of fans allowed at the rivalry game opener in Elbert County on Sept. 4 has been set. Hart County had to replace two home games against South Carolina teams after South Carolina canceled all non-region fooball games for the season.
