Sheriff: 12 vehicles struck by rocks from teenagers’ sling shot

Two teenagers have been arrested and charged for their alleged roles in shooting a dozen cars with rocks via a “high-powered sling shot”, the sheriff confirmed. Multiple reports were made to the Hart County Sheriff’s Office around 10:30 a.m.

Hart County 4-H comes out on top at DPA

DPA, or District Project Achievement, is one of Georgia 4-H’s cornerstone programs.  It teaches youth to research a topic of their choice, organize their thoughts and write a 3-6 minute speech, create visual aids to support their speech, and public speaking skills.

Art Center starts scholarship fund

In honor of Evelyn Lundberg’s tireless devotion to the Hart Regional Arts Council, upon the occasion of her passing and with the blessing and endowment from her husband, Bob Lundberg, the ‘Evelyn Lundberg Art Camp Scholarship Fund’ has been established.

The Hart County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests: May 19 • Alexis Paige Beyer, 26, 154 Stilwood Drive, was arrested and charged with DUI, failure to stop for stop sign, possession of a schedule IV controlled substance and possession of drug related objects.

School bus driver sub laments education relief eligibility

Hart County School employees saw a bonus supplement to their April payroll check. However, not everyone who works for the school system received the benefit. Charlene Davis, a part-time retired substitute bus driver, did not receive any supplement to her pay.
