Thankful for daddy-daughter dates

Two years ago, my daughter Vivian and I were standing in the lobby of the Hyatt Regency hotel in Jacksonville waiting for the shuttle to take us to Ponte Vedra for the third round of The Players championship at TPC Sawgrass.

DAHLONEGA, GA-- A partnership between a student in the University of North Georgia’s (UNG) Department of Visual Arts and the Historic Vickery House provided a learning experience and functional art for one Hartwell native.

Service League hosts Harts of Hartwell scavenger hunt

The Hartwell Service League (HSL) is hosting a “Harts of Hartwell” scavenger hunt throughout June, providing community members and their families with a fun opportunity to explore the town while learning more about what its local businesses and organizations have to offer.

Hart Chamber of Commerce celebrates 75 years

The Chamber of Commerce celebrated its 75th year on Tuesday evening as community members braved the rainstorm to attend—just one example of the welcoming and supportive spirit that Chamber Executive Director Lindsey Ingle found when she first moved to Hartwell.

Dozens gathered to honor an intriguing piece of local Black history at Cedar Springs Baptist Church cemetery on Saturday morning.

Bell Family YMCA to bring soccer academy to Hartwell

The Bell Family YMCA is set to bring a soccer academy to Hartwell. For many years, kids from Hart County and surrounding counties in Northeast Georgia who have wanted to play club soccer have had to travel to Anderson, Clemson, Greenville, or even Athens to join a team.
