Hartwell man arrested in Toccoa for Home Invasion

The Toccoa Police Department and Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) arrested a Hartwell man on July 8 in connection with a home invasion in Toccoa.

Census participation lags behind 2010 numbers

A little more than half of the residents of Hart County have responded to the 2020 U.S. Census and census takers are encouraging everyone to do so.

Possible COVID-related death reported in Hart County

The COVID-19-related death of a resident at Hart Care Center has been reported by the Department of Community Health, but the state Department of Public Health, which monitors and reports on overall numbers of cases, hospitalizations and deaths from the virus still lists Hart County with zero.
