Hart County football game canceled Friday

Hart County's football game scheduled for Friday against Greater Atlanta Christian has been canceled as the Hart County Charter System continues contact tracing after several players and team personnel have been quarantined for possible exposure.

Payne’s Creek future discussed at meeting

Complaints and reasoning against the closing of Payne’s Creek campground fell on deaf ears at the Hart County Property Owners Association on Monday night because the Army Corps of Engineers, the owner of the campground, was not in attendance.

Hartwell Mayor Brandon Johnson is urging residents to complete their census forms in order to help Hartwell grow. The current response rate for the census as of Sept. 20 for Hartwell is 60.3 percent and Hart County is 58.3 percent. Both are below the state and national response rates.
