Boys season ends in the Sweet 16

A 23-win season has come to an end for the Hart County High School Bulldog basketball team.
The Bulldogs (23-6, 9-3) suffered a 55-43 loss in the Sweet 16 against Central (Macon) on the road last Thursday, Feb. 20, but that doesn’t negate a successful season.

Bulldog will play college ball in South Carolina

Another member of the “Trench Mob” will play college football next year. JT Hunt signed on Thursday, Feb. 20, to play football at North Greenville University.
Hunt played defensive tackle for the Bulldogs this past season as they went 10-3 and made it to the third round of the playoffs.

Track Dogs eye high state finish

Expectations are high for the Hart County boys’ track team this year, following a region championship and a fourth-place overall team finish at the state meet last season.
Despite inclement weather, the Track Dogs have been putting in work recently.

Diamond Dogs off to a Scorching Start

A steaming hot 3-0 start to the season over the weekend earned the Hart County Diamond Dogs a No. 1 statewide ranking in Class AAA.
Through the team’s first three games, the Diamond Dogs drove in 32 runs, while allowing just seven opposing runs.

Lady Dogs end season in Ringgold

The road to Macon has come to an end for the Hart County High School Lady Dogs.
A 68-53 loss to Ringgold (19-8, 14-2) in the first round of the state playoffs completes the 2019-2020 season for the Lady Dogs who finished with a 15-14 (8-AAA, 9-4) record.

Soccer teams look to seniors for leadership in 2020

Hart County Boys and Girls Soccer teams both look to improve upon last season’s success with the help of strong senior classes.
Last season, the boys were 12-7 and made the playoffs for the first time since 2003.
