Volley Dogs push win streak to seven

The Volley Dogs continued their winning ways by picking up a pair of region wins and a pair of non-region wins on the road.    On Sept. 18, Hart traveled to Toccoa to take on the Lady Indians of Stephens County and the Lady Wolverines of Prince Avenue Christian.

HCMS Dogs complete the comeback to remain undefeated

The Hart County Middle School football team traveled to Elberton to take on the Rams of Elbert County. After being down 12-0 at the half, the Dogs stormed back and pulled off the 24-12 comeback win over the Rams.

Edwards inducted into Hall of Fame

Hart County girls basketball head coach Mike Edwards has been cemented into the Valwood High School Hall of Fame.    Edwards’ alma mater, Valwood High School out of Valdosta, inducted its fourth class into the school’s Athletic Hall of Fame Sept. 11-12.

Lady Dogs end five game skid with dominant region win

After dropping five straight games, the Lady Dogs dominated East Jackson to end the first half of region play.    On Sept. 10, Hart hosted the Lady Dragons of Jefferson.

Coley Phillips named Athlete of the Week

This week’s Athlete of the Week presented by Johnson Heating & Air goes to volleyball’s sophomore outside hitter Coley Phillips. Phillips has been dominant at the net by picking up multiple kills against Hebron Christian, East Jackson, Rabun County and Elbert County.

Volley Dogs move up to No. 4 in AA

The Volley Dogs dropped their first region game before turning around and pieced together a three-match win streak.    On Sept. 11, Hart opened up Region 8-AA play by hosting the Lady Lions of Hebron Christian and the Lady Eagles of East Jackson.
