HCMS DOGS CROWNED CHAMPIONS

The HCMS Bulldogs claim their first NEGIAA Championship since 2017 after a dominant performance.  On Oct. 16, the undefeated Hart County Middle School football team hosted the Mustangs of Madison County with the NEGIAA Championship on the line. Hart won the toss and deferred to the second half.

Sevyn Singleton named Athlete of the Week

This week’s Athlete of the Week presented by Johnson Heating & Air goes to cross country’s Sevyn Singleton. Singleton has been the most consistent runner for the boys team this season as he has been their top runner at every single meet this season.

Sweep sends Lady Dogs to Sweet Sixteen

The Lady Dogs punched their ticket to the Sweet Sixteen after sweeping rival Franklin County in the first round. On Oct. 15, Hart hosted the Lady Lions of Franklin County for a best of three series in the first round of the state playoffs.

Dogs soar past Eagles in the second half to capture second region win

After trailing 6-0 at the half, the Dogs went on a 21-0 run in the second half to capture their second region win. Coming off of a bye week, the Dogs continued Region 8-AA play against the Eagles of East Jackson Oct. 17. The Eagles won the toss and elected to receive.

Volley Dogs season ends with Elite Eight loss

The Volley Dogs historic run ends with an Elite Eight road loss to Savannah Arts Academy. On Oct. 18, Hart traveled to Lithonia to take on the Lady Wolverines of Miller Grove in the Sweet Sixteen. The Volley Dogs dominated all three sets, 25-12, 25-15 and 25-15, to advance to the Elite Eight.

Historic set of matches sends Volley Dogs to Sweet Sixteen

After finishing third in the region, the Volley Dogs dominated their first round state playoff opponent to reach the Sweet Sixteen for the third straight season. On Oct. 8, Hart hosted the Lady Lions of Franklin County for the Region 8-AA Semifinal matchup.

Erin Miller named Athlete of the Week

This week’s Athlete of the Week, presented by Johnson Heating & Air, goes to volleyball’s senior libero Erin Miller. Miller has been a vital part of the leadership side of things for the Volley Dogs both on and off the court.
