Dogs’ comeback falls short in Lumpkin loss

Despite limiting the miscues, the Dogs dropped their second straight game against Lumpkin County.    On Aug. 29, Hart hosted the Indians of Lumpkin County. The Dogs won the toss and deferred to the second half.

Mareli Fajardo Bacilio named Athlete of the Week

This week’s Athlete of the Week presented by Johnson Heating & Air goes to the Lady Dogs’ senior runner Mareli Fajardo Bacilio. Bacilio has worked hard and has stepped into a leadership role for the Lady Dogs according to head cross country coach Todd Townsend.

Dogs suffer first loss of the season

After miscues piled up, the Dogs suffered their first loss of the season during their first road trip.   On Aug. 22, Hart made the trip to Danielsville to take on the Red Raiders of Madison County. The Dogs won the toss and deferred to the second half.

Volley Dogs remain flawless after pair of road wins

The Volley Dogs remain perfect after back-to-back wins on the road.   On Aug. 26, Hart traveled to West Hall to take on the Lady Spartans and the Lady Patriots of Oglethorpe County.    In game one against the Lady Spartans, the Volley Dogs swept West Hall in two sets, 25-23 and 25-20.

HCMS Bulldogs dominate Cubs to start 2-0

After leading 20-0 at the half, the Hart County Middle School Bulldogs cruised to a 34-14 victory over the Cubs of Franklin County Aug. 20 in Carnesville. The Bulldogs (2-0) will look to continue their winning streak as they will host Madison County Sept. 4.

Cross Country teams make Top 10 in Jefferson

The Cross Country teams placed inside the Top 10 at the North Georgia Championships at Lamar Murphy.   On Aug. 23, Hart traveled to Jefferson to compete in the North Georgia Championships at Lamar Murphy Park.    For the boys, they placed fifth overall as a team.

Undefeated Volley Dogs off to hot start

The Volley Dogs continue their hot start to the season as they continue to roll through the competition to remain undefeated.    On Aug. 14, Hart traveled to Athens Christian to take on the Lady Eagles and the Lady Blazers of Barrow Arts and Science Academy (BASA).
