Tigers end Dogs season in Elite Eight

With the loss to Carver [Columbus], the Dogs season comes to an end in the Elite Eight. In front of a sold out crowd in the Dog Pound, Hart hosted the Tigers of Carver [Columbus] on Feb. 28 for a spot to advance to the Final Four in Savannah.

The Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) released the list of statewide Advanced Placement (AP) Honor Schools in several different categories on Feb. 27, with Hart County High School among the list of honorees. Hart County High School was recognized in the area of AP Expansion.

LAVONIA – Northeast Georgia Bank has announced promotions to three senior leadership positions. Bill Hogan has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer, Lee Vaughn to President and Rick Tatum as Senior Credit Officer.

On March 2, the Hart County community gathered at the Gum Branch Mega ramp on the shores of Lake Hartwell for the 28 annual Polar Plunge. All tolled, 21 brave souls tested the cold waters of the lake to help raise money for a wonderful cause: the Northeast Georgia Council on Domestic Violence.
The mausoleum inside the Nancy Hart Memorial Park.On Jan. 16, the Board of Cemeterians officially issued an emergency order for the park to cease and desist their violations of the Georgia Cemetery and Funeral Services Act of 2000. The Secretary of State “determined it is in the public interest to issue this Emergency Order.”
