HCHS FFA to host Spring plant sale

Hart County High School Horticulture students have been gearing up for the highly anticipated annual HCHS FFA Spring Plant Sale, set to take place on Friday, March 29, 2024. The event will run from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Around 4 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19, the Georgia State Patrol (GSP) responded to a Harbor Light Marina Road school bus crash with children onboard. Hart County Sheriff’s Office, Hart County EMS, and the Hart County Fire Department were also at the scene.

Hart Community Theatre awarded $500,000 grant

The Hart County Community Theatre (HCCT) was awarded a multiyear grant of $500,000 from Atlanta’s Fabulous Fox Theatre during a ceremony in Georgia’s capitol city March 14. The grant signifies a landmark moment for the theater and the broader arts community in Georgia.

Hartwell’s Dawn Milford was named a 2023 National Clinician of the Year by CenterWell Home Health, a Division of Humana. For the last 11 years, Milford has supported patients in the Clemson branch with her excellent skills as a Medical Social Worker.

Candidates qualify for May 21 primary

The Hart County Board of Elections and the Hart County Republican Party qualified local candidates last week in the lead up to the general primary election in May. The primary will take place on May 21. With early voting beginning April 29.
