Around 4 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19, the Georgia State Patrol (GSP) responded to a Harbor Light Marina Road school bus crash with children onboard. Hart County Sheriff’s Office, Hart County EMS, and the Hart County Fire Department were also at the scene.

Officials from the city of Hartwell and the Hart County Community Theatre traveled to Atlanta to accept a community grant from the fabulous Fox Theatre.

Hartwell nurse named Clinician of the Year

Hartwell’s Dawn Milford was named a 2023 National Clinician of the Year by CenterWell Home Health, a Division of Humana.
For the last 11 years, Milford has supported patients in the Clemson branch with her excellent skills as a Medical Social Worker.

Hartwell Dam spillway gates tested

On Wednesday, March 13 from 9 a.m. until approximately 11 a.m., dam safety teams from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers tested all of the spillway gates at Hartwell Dam. The routine testing rendered the already-beautiful lake even more scenic for spectators to enjoy.
