City sends support for proposed developments

The Hart County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests:   April 18   Richard Brown, 57, of Royston was arrested and charged with failure to appear - battery. Marquise Conner, 31, of Riverdale was arrested and charged with DUI and speeding.

Hart County 4-H’ers Excel in Project Achievement

Hart County Students Excel in Northeast Junior/Senior District Project Achievement  – Eight 4-H’ers in grades seven through 11 from Hart County participated in North East District Project Achievement, or DPA, at the Rock Eagle 4-H Center.

National Day of Prayer to be held May 4

The National Day of Prayer will be held at noon on Thursday, May 4, on the Hart County Courthouse lawn. In case of rain it will be held at First United Methodist Church.

Gunnells h-o-n-o-r-e-d during annual spelling bee

Emily Gunnells received a surprise honor on Thursday night at the start of the 21st Annual Spelling Bee, which was held in the Hart County Adult Learning Center.

Public comment discussion headlines meeting

Despite no public comment being made by any Hart County citizens during the public comment period, Tuesday night’s board of commissioners meeting was dominated by discussion on how members of the public are allowed to address the board in meetings.
