Hartwell native announces bid for city council

Hartwell native Dan Leard entered his name as a Hartwell city council candidate this week for the seat currently occupied by Arthur Craft, who will not seek reelection. “I was born and raised in Hartwell,” Leard said.

Georgia Farm Bureau members invited to enter Quality Hay Contest

Georgia Farm Bureau (GFB) members who grow Bermudagrass hay are encouraged to enter the 2021 GFB Quality Hay Contest. Hay entered in the contest will be tested at a University of Georgia lab using the Relative Forage Quality (RFQ) Test, which provides an analysis of the nutritional value of the hay.
