The Hart County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests: Feb. 1 •A woman was arrested and charged with battery. Feb. 2 •A man was arrested and charged with criminal trespassing and obstruction of an officer. Feb. 3 •Brandon Anthony Massey, 23, of New York, N.Y.

Low Country Boil set for takeout Feb. 25

It’s that time again. The Tony Hilton Imagination Library Low Country Boil will be held Feb. 25 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Ag Center on Bowman Highway. The boil is takeout only due to COVID precautions.

Soccer teams play first home matches

The Hart County boys soccer team remains undefeated while the girls team is still looking for its first win. Both teams travelled to Banks County High School on Feb. 4. The boys beat the Leopards 12-3. Luis Genchi scored four goals in the blow out. Kyle Hubbard also scored a hat trick.

Lady Dogs move into first place

The Lady Dogs added two more wins in the home stretch of region play. The Hart County girls basketball team beat Stephens County, 63-42 at home on Friday, Feb. 4. The Dogs got off to a quick start and scored 20 points in the first quarter.
