Local tax and financial advisory service ECG Financials recently celebrated an “Excellence in powering client prosperity award” for its customer service. The award  from Intuitt Accountants ranked the organization as a top 600 firm.

The four metal traffic-light boxes on the Hartwell courthouse square will soon be a beautiful attraction downtown. Hart County High School art teacher Amanda Ayers is leading her classes in an art project to bring some more color to the downtown square.

While technically the Flower Cottage is celebrating 10 years of continuous business, the store was first born 30 years ago this year. Owner Brenda Vickery said she and her mother opened the store together in 1992 after they bought Diane’s Designs.

Hartwell native named Georgia Association of Realtors president

On Tuesday, Jan 11. The Georgia Association of Realtors swore in Hartwell-native Joey Tucker to represent all of Georgia’s 52,000 real estate professionals for 2022. As president Tucker will be representing realtors across Georgia, protecting and ensuring their private property rights statewide.
