Track teams take gold

Both track and field teams took first at the Stephens County Home Meet 2022. On Tuesday, March 15, the Bulldogs traveled to Stephens County to compete against Stephens, Morgan County and Franklin County. Madison McClane took the gold in the girls high jump with a 4-10 in the finals.

Tennis returns to dry courts this week

After wet courts prevented the tennis teams from playing last week, Hart was eager to see some action this week. On Monday, March 14, the Bulldogs traveled to Oconee County High School to face the Warriors. Both teams lost to Oconee, 5-0. Hart hosted Stephens County on Tuesday, March 15.

Joe Whittemore lives with his wife of 55 years in Hartwell down an unassuming road in a quiet house, but Whittemore is the exact opposite of his house and road.

1911: An egg of the “three-in-one” variety was sent into The Sun office by Mrs. A.V. Dove, and was dubbed the “most undoubtedly largest specimen of hen fruit” that the former Sun editor had ever seen.

The Hart County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests: March 8 •Garland Willie Jonas, 22, of Iva, S.C, was arrested and charged with violation of window tint and felony possession of marijuana.

The patient lived in a mobile home at the top of a hill of red dirt. The deeply rutted driveway was difficult to maneuver and about half way to the top I had to stop and walk the rest of the way.

FFA competitors shine in N.C.

Hart County High School FFA students John Payne Sewell and Ashlyn Floyd braved the bitter temps on Saturday to show their new heifers at the Shamrock Showdown in Franklin, NC. Ashlyn won Reserve Supreme Heifer with her Angus and John Payne won 5th Overall Heifer with his Commercial.
