A new playground has been installed on the Bell YMCA campus, its first ever, and eager children are looking forward to when it officially opens so they can play.

Jet ski maintenance accident leaves employee with burns

An 18-year-old was airlifted to the Augusta Burn Center on Monday, July 25. Grayson Webb, an employee at Dock Depot, located on Vickery Street, was working on a jet ski when the jet ski experienced a small fuel explosion.

Commissioners approve short-term rental ordinance

On Tuesday, July 26, the Hart County Board of Commissioners voted to approve a short-term rental ordinance that will require property owners to follow certain county regulations when leasing their property.

1978: A member of the Hart County Board of Finance used a county road scrape to ‘smooth out’ a driveway on his farm, according to The Hartwell Sun. The work covered an area of about 200 yards and the scrape was only used for about 30 minutes.
