Former Hart coach honored with national championship team

Former Hart County High School and University of West Georgia head football coach Bobby Pate was honored along with his 1982 national championship team as they were inducted into the UWG Athletics Hall of Fame over the weekend.

Bulldogs will travel to Hebron Christian

For the first ever meeting between the two programs, the Bulldogs will face newcomers Hebron Christian Academy on Friday night. The Hart County High School football team will travel to Dacula on Friday, Oct. 27 to battle the Lions in on their home field.

Cross-Country teams compete in region meet

The Hart County High School cross country teams competed in the Region 8 championships this past weekend. Hart runners traveled to Bogart to race on the Oconee Community Cross Country Course against the other teams in the region on Saturday morning, Oct. 22.

Volleydogs receive All-Region honors

Nine Volleydogs were named to the Region 8 All-Region team for their performances this season. Senior Alexandria Burdette and juniors Lillie Kate Rogers and Ryann Williamson were named to the first team.

Marshall Walker is loving life

Red Ribbon Week honors lost DEA agent

Since its beginning in 1985, the Red Ribbon has touched the lives of millions of people around the world.
Hart County Middle School students wore “crazy socks and crazy hair” to show that from head to toe they are drugs and bully free. 1969: Arsonists set four fires within days to destroy two buildings and severely damage two others. The first fire occurred at 1 a.m., Wednesday morning and the second fire was set at 10:30 Wednesday night. Both homes were empty at the time and no one was injured. The third fire occurred at 8 a.m.
