The Bell Family YMCA hosted Lake Hartwell’s Pickleball Club’s Fall Freedom Pickleball Tournament on Nov. 4-5. The fall regional tournament was a huge success as people from all over the state gathered for the big event.

Hart County Football wide receiver Paul Davis has announced his top three schools but the door is still open. Jackson State University, Duke University, and Mississippi State University have all cracked Davis’ top three in his recruitment.

To the Hartwell and Hart County community. I am beyond excited to announce that I am the new sports writer for The Hartwell Sun. I am 24 years old from Hartwell but I was born in Fort Worth, Texas and raised in Watkinsville, Georgia.

‘A blessing beyond measure’: Habitat selects next home builds

A house is made of bricks and beams but a home is made of hopes and dreams. Two families in Hart County are having new bricks and beams put together to make a house that will turn into a home filled with hopes and dreams through the charity organization Hart County Habitat for Humanity.

Local nurse becomes certified board member for Athens Technical College

Athens, GA — The local Board of Directors at Athens Technical College (ATC) now has a certified board member from Hart County as Ruth Tellano Daniel completed her training culminating in Savannah, Georgia at the state Technical College System of Georgia Leadership Conference.
