The Hart County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests: July 28 •Reanna Nicole Carr, 36, of Greenville, S.C. was arrested and charged with drugs not in original container, possession of a schedule II controlled substance and transactions in drug-related objects.

Georgia Farm Bureau members invited to enter Quality Hay Contest

Georgia Farm Bureau (GFB) members who grow Bermudagrass hay are encouraged to enter the 2021 GFB Quality Hay Contest. Hay entered in the contest will be tested at a University of Georgia lab using the Relative Forage Quality (RFQ) Test, which provides an analysis of the nutritional value of the hay.

Family full of EMT’s celebrates grandfather’s retirement, granddaughter’s initiation

By Josh Brannen Staff writer After 44 years of service for Hart County EMS veteran EMT retires. On Friday at the Hart County Agricultural Facility, a crowd of family and friends gathered to honor seasoned EMT, Randall Dean Graham in his retirement ceremony.

Winners selected at annual Juried Art Exhibit

Artists in the Hart County area put their finest works up for judgement on July 29 at the annual Juried Art Exhibit. The Art Center of Hartwell played host to the event put on by the Hart Regional Arts Council, which named eight award winners among 27 participating artists.
