Lady Dogs’ season ends in heartbreaking fashion

A battle down to the final seconds with Oconee County in the first round of the region tournament ended the Hart County High School Lady Dogs’ season on Monday.

Cheer squad heads to state

Hart County’s Competition Cheer team finished as the Region 8-AAA runners-up and captured third place in the sectional competition out of 12 teams, marking the highest finish ever in the state sectional for the team.

Soccer Dogs looking to grow in 2021

The 2021 soccer season is officially underway and the Hart County High School boys’ team is already kicking the competition, while the girls’ team seeks to build with a group of fresh faces. The Hart County boys’ squad kicked off the season Monday at home with a 9-0 victory over Commerce.

Eleven Mat Dogs are heading to the State Traditional Tournament after Hart County dominated the Region 8-AAA Traditional tournament over the weekend. Hart County placed first as a team at the traditional tournament on Saturday, Feb.

Lady golfers stay in game in pandemic

When school closed and spring sports were canceled last March, the girl’s golf team was disappointed. “The 2020 girls golf season looked really promising before the pandemic,” Hart County junior golfer Mary Elizabeth Jackson said.

Diamond Dogs hoping to peak at the right time
