Golf's culture teaches valuable life lessons

It was a cold, wet battle in the trenches on Friday, Nov. 15, in Herndon Stadium, but that didn’t stop the Hart County Bulldogs from out-muscling the visiting Haralson County Rebels 56-27 in the first round of the AAA state playoffs. The ground game was on full display for both teams.

Basketball Dogs win scrimmage vs. Tallulah Falls

The Hart County High School Boy’s Basketball team defeated Tallulah Falls in a scrimmage on Tuesday night with a score of 74-50. Demetrius Glenn led the team with 15 points from guard. Glenn is a recent transfer from Cedar Shoals High School in Athens.

Wrestlers take to the mats for first match of season

The Hart County wrestling team hit the mat for their first official matches of the season Tuesday night in a tri-meet at Oglethorpe County, falling short in both of the duals. The Mat Dogs fell to Winder Barrow 42-30 in their first duals match.

Pigskin Picks ends with Wade Walker as champ

Pigskin Picks is over and the final results are in for who was the best guest picker. Wade Walker of Hartwell Family Practice secured bragging rights over the other pickers as he went 90-18 on the season to take first place. Walker finished the season strong with eight wins last week.

The highly-anticipated Georgia High School Association’s reclassification and region alignment lists for 2020-2022 are out — bringing plenty of changes that affect Hart County and Region 8-AAA. Though Hart County will remain in 8-AAA, some of the school’s region foes have moved elsewhere.

Tallent to take his talents to Clemson
