The  2024 summer bookmobile presented by Hart Partners was once again a rousing success as it distributed over 2,200 books to children in Hart County. For the 23 year in a row, Hart Partners staff loads a yellow school bus each summer with new books to give away to local children.

Board reports school enrollment numbers steady

The Hart County Board of Education held its first regular meeting Monday night since the start of the 2024-25 school year Aug. 1. The Board took a few moments to review the back to school enrollment numbers which showed a decrease of five students from 2023 to a median of 3,589.

After 13-year-old Lily Hope Osborne of Bowersville was seriously injured in a traumatic ATV crash on July 24, her strong sense of faith inspired scores of people—from the first responders who saved her life to average Hart Countians who heard her story.

Hart County High School (HCHS) senior Jackson Daniel has always been interested in agriculture. “I’ve participated in FFA (Future Farmers of America) my first three years of high school,” Daniel said. “I’ve been on the meat judging team all three years and we’ve made it to state all three years.
