Lady Dogs pick up first win of the season over Furtah Prep

With a dominant first half performance, The Lady Dogs secured their first win of the season with a 65-42 win over the Lady Falcons of Furtah Prep. On Nov. 16, Hart traveled to Dawson County to take on the Lady Falcons of Furtah Prep in just the second game of the season.

Garnett accepts invitation to play in Peach State Gridiron Classic

Hart County Bulldogs’ junior outside linebacker Elijah Garnett accepts an invitation to play in the Peach State Gridiron Classic All-American Game on Dec. 29. On Nov. 3, Garnett posted to X that he received an invitation to play in the Peach State Gridiron Classic All-American Game.

Dogs exit playoffs after shutout loss to Tigers

Hart County’s defense did everything it could to hold the Tigers off the scoreboard, but the Dogs’ offense couldn’t get going in the 19-0 loss to Ringgold in the first round of the state playoffs. On Nov. 15, Hart traveled to Ringgold, Ga.

Clifford Jones is Loving Life

From serving his country and fighting Nazis, to enduring discrimination at home, to facing difficulties as a farmer, 99-year-old Clifford Jones is a treasure trove of stories. These memories, while invaluable, are not merely memories--they are a reflection of history and a call to learn from it.

“Angel tree” project is the gift of giving

The local YMCA and a high school class are both offering opportunities for the public to provide Christmas presents for foster children through the Angel Tree project--allowing not only the general public, but also youth specifically, to experience the gift of giving.
