The Lake Hartwell Association (LHA) made up their annual meeting Nov. 13 following its original postponement back in September due to Hurricane Helene. The Hart County Adult Learning Center hosted the abbreviated session and LHA Acting President Terry Jackson, Jr.

Farm Bureau to host Farm-City week

Hart County Farm Bureau is hosting its annual Farm-City week Nov. 20-28 to celebrate the symbiotic relationship between Georgia farmers and their partners in urban areas who prepare, transport, market, retail and serve the food and fiber farmers grow for consumers.

House fire sends Hart County man to the hospital

One person was airlifted and hospitalized after a house caught fire down Crawfords Ferry Road. On Nov. 16 at 4:22 p.m., the Hart County Fire Department alongside local law enforcement and Hart County EMS responded to Crawfords Ferry Road in reference to a house fire.

Parade of Trees raises money for local non-profits

The Hartwell Service League hosted its fifth annual Parade of Trees last week at The Depot on Railroad St. During the five day event which ended Nov. 16 visitors were able to bid on a decorated tree or trees by silent auction.

Cowins set to join Carter in Southeast Elite All-Star Game

Just a week after teammate Nicholas Carter’s commitment, Hart County’s junior wide receiver, CJ Cowins, has also accepted the invitation to play in the Southeast Elite All-Star game in Marietta, Ga. on Dec. 27-29. Back on Oct.

With their third head coach in three years, former Hart County Bulldogs’ wrestler Sam Simpson will look to take the Dogs back to state in his first year at the helm. After former head coach Jay Stowe left to go to White County, Hart County went on a search for its third head coach in three years.

Rucker to donate $10,000 to Helene relief efforts, matched by Wells Fargo & Food Lion Feeds
