Comprehensive plan update is community process

The city of Hartwell is working with the Georgia Mountain Regional Commission (GMRC) to update its comprehensive plan for the city. The plan, which needs to be updated every 10 years, is a requirement by the Georgia Department of Community Affairs to be eligible for different grants.

Angel Tree is back at the YMCA again this Christmas

Ben Tellano, a senior 4-H’er, is organizing an Angel Tree project for Hart County again this year. He is sponsoring 100 needy children from the Hart County Department of Family and Child Services system.

Officials find alleged botanical garden vandals

The alleged perpetrators of a vandalism incident at the Hart County Botanical Gardens have been caught and a new fountain has been installed to replace the destroyed one.

HCHS graduation rate tops 95%
