Annexation proposal moves forward

A proposed residential development is one step closer to reality after a joint meeting between the city and county governments Tuesday night. The Hartwell City Council met with the Hart County Board of Commissioners on Tuesday, April 20 at city hall to discuss the city’s request to annex 22.

Dam Run set to return after pandemic hiatus

After being cancelled last year, the Lake Hartwell Dam Run will be run on May 1 for the 42nd year. “We are trying to get people to go out and run in who knows how long and have that good running experience that they’ve been starved of for over a year now,” race director Judd Bailey said.
