•A Timothy Wade Alewine, 51, of Hartwell, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, possession of a methamphetamines, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Owners Eric Hernandez and Karli Turner, husband and wife, already own a Jucee Juice & Smoothie Bar location in Elberton, a healthy alternative to fast food.

Hart commissioners lobby against truck weight limit increases

The Hart County Board of Commissioners formally opposed trucking weight limit increases at the state level last week.
At the Feb. 8 meeting, board approved writing a letter to state senator Lee Anderson and state representative Alan Powell urging them to vote against increased weight limits.

Questions surround ‘Minority-majority’ voting district

Questions arose around the proposed redistricting of a Hart County “minority-majority” district at the Hart County Board of Education meeting.
The board was recommended to approve the new redistricting map provided by the office of Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger at the Feb.
