The city of Hartwell is taking the next step to build a new fire station in the city.
City manager Jon Herschell said the current fire station is in major need of improvements.

Track teams medal in Winder meet

The Hart County track and field teams placed second and third at the 51st Annual Cook Holiday Rotary Relays 2022 in Winder.
The boys team placed second with a score of 120, while the girls placed third with a score of 75 at the meet on April 1.

Golf competes at Apple Mountain

The Hart County High School boys golf team traveled to Habersham for the Apple Mountain Invitational 18-hole tournament.
The team finished with an overall team score of 349 to place 15th out of a field of 20 on Wednesday, March 30.
