Skills USA brings home state championships

The 2023 SkillsUSA State Leadership and Skills Conference ended with Hart County bringing home two State Championships and eight medals in total.
Students from across the state attended the SkillsUSA Georgia State Championships on March 9-11 at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta.

Seven year old wins Georgia State Wrestling Championship

Hartwell native, Knox Payne, is now a Georgia Wrestling State Champion, after winning it all in Perry, Ga., on March 5.
Payne is in just his second year of wrestling and competed last year in the state competition in the 6U division, but was quickly eliminated after losing both matches.

Racket Dogs rebound against Monroe Area after two straight losses

After both Racket Dog teams fell to Hebron and Stephens, they rebounded and picked up their first region win over Monroe Area.
On March 1, the Racket Dogs traveled to Hebron Christian to face the Lions.
