HCHS Basketball Summer League Recap

The Hart County High School boys and girls basketball team ends the month of June feeling confident about where they stand heading into the season. During the month of June, both teams competed in games and tournaments that stretched from South Carolina all the way to the other side of Georgia.

One month left until fall sports

Hart County High School Athletics gears up for fall sports, as they are just one month away from the season. Summer is winding down and the student athletes are just days away from the beginning of a new season. But all of the teams have been hard at work trying to improve from the season before.

It’s time for a change

When I was three-years-old and lived in Watkinsville, Ga., my parents enrolled me in the soccer program at the Oconee County Recreation Department. From that moment until I graduated high school in 2017, I played and loved watching soccer.

Two HCHS Cheerleaders make Top 30 for Cheerleader of the Year

Two Hart County High School competition cheerleaders made it in the Top 30 for Cheerleader of the Year for Classes A through AAA. For the third consecutive year, the HCHS competition cheer team has had a cheerleader in the Top 30 for Cheerleader of the Year for Classes A through AAA.

The Hart County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests:   July 1   Joseph Graham, 37, of Toccoa was arrested and charged with windshields and windshield wipers, effective or no headlights, failure to drive within a single lane, and giving a false name to a law enforcement officer.
