We know that Congress needs to enact immigration law reform to restore order to immigration into the United States. Isn’t that what everyone wants? Last February, a bipartisan group of Senators presented a comprehensive immigration law reform bill. The bill was endorsed by the US Border Patrol.

Have you ever felt like you received more credit for something than you deserved? Well, I have. About 15 years ago, I came across a recipe for pancakes in a little book of breakfast specialties. I made those pancakes for my family. Everybody loved them, and I’ve been making them ever since.

Hart County High School (HCHS) senior Jackson Daniel has always been interested in agriculture. “I’ve participated in FFA (Future Farmers of America) my first three years of high school,” Daniel said. “I’ve been on the meat judging team all three years and we’ve made it to state all three years.

Death at Hartwell Marina claims life of Commerce man

A Commerce man, 47-year-old Randy Lamar Beasley, died last Saturday, Aug. 3 at Hartwell Marina on Lake Hartwell. According to Hart County Sheriff’s Office (HCSO) Captain Chris Carroll, around 7:19 p.m.

Northeast Georgia Ag Expo returns Aug. 17

A popular end of summer event showcasing the best of agriculture in the local community returns to the Hart County Agriscience Center next weekend. The Northeast Georgia Ag Expo is scheduled for Aug. 17 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. featuring a host of indoor and outdoor agriculture events.
