The Bowersville Town Council has no plans to remove four speed bumps installed in early July that have raised the ire of some residents and the county commission and decided Tuesday it would seek mediation if need be to resolve the issue.

Fashion show to benefit Habitat for Humanity

Hart County Habitat for Humanity is known for housing, not fashion. But that might change a little in a few weeks with a new fundraising event. As it says on the flyer, “Decent housing is always in style.” With that notion in mind, Hart Habitat decided to host its first-ever fashion show at 7 p.m.

Sandra Bruce battled colon cancer in 2010. When she was going through chemotherapy, her husband Johnny asked what he could do to brighten her day. Her response was she always wanted a gazebo, which he proudly built for her. If she’s not all over Hart County helping others, Sandra can be found sitting in her beloved gazebo and enjoying the scenery from her immaculate yard, or at her kitchen table in front of the big bay window watching the hummingbirds.
