Committee hopes to revive flower program

A colorful addition to downtown Hartwell recently came down, and the group responsible for it is now hoping for a little extra help in the next year. A Hartwell Public Works crew took down several hanging flower baskets from light poles on July 31.

Grayson Williams Staff writer Changes are coming to a deadly intersection in Hart County. Driver’s traveling on Ga. Highway 77 will soon be required to stop at its intersection with Ga. Highway 59., following a fatal crash at the intersection in June that killed two people.

By Grayson Williams Staff writer An elusive alleged arsonist is on the run after investigators say he torched a home on Joe Findley Road and later ran from law enforcement multiple times.

Deputies: Meth bust reveals plan to kidnap, kill

  Authorities believe a group of people intended to kidnap and kill a Hart County man Sunday, Aug. 4, seeking retaliation for drug money when they arrived at his residence with an assortment of knives, hatchets, masks, machetes, rope and duct tape, among other things.
