A Hartwell man drowned in a pool at his residence on Tuesday, May 25, the coroner says.
Tony Wicker, 55, was found at the bottom of the pool at his house on Mt. Olivet Road after people on the scene had noticed him missing on Tuesday afternoon, according to Sheriff Mike Cleveland.

South Hart sends ‘Blankets of Hope’

South Hart second graders partnered with the Northeast Georgia Council on Domestic Violence to spread kindness by participating in the Blankets of Hope project.
Students wrote letters of encouragement for those experiencing homelessness or difficult times and attached them to blankets.
