Comprehensive plan meeting puts planning in public’s hands

Hartwell residents offered crucial input on the City of Hartwell’s 2025 comprehensive plan draft during Monday’s local planning open house, utilizing a format that allowed them to visualize and shape future land use.

City approves multi-million infrastructure projects

The Hartwell City Council approved three significant projects during Monday’s regular meeting, including a 20,000 feet sidewalk expansion, a $1.5 million purchase of property for a new gas department facility and road-widening for College Avenue.

Exhibiting 250 years of democracy

The City of Hartwell has been selected as one of just six communities in the state of Georgia to host the Smithsonian Institution’s traveling exhibit “Voices and Votes: Democracy in America.
