The Georgia House of Representatives overwhelmingly passed a $32.6 billion mid-year budget Thursday that includes a $1 billion property tax rebate worth $500 to the average homeowner.

Hart County agencies eligible for Ninth District federal funding

Ninth District Opportunity, Inc. has been awarded federal funds under The Emergency Food and Shelter National Board Program Phase 40.
Hart County has been chosen to receive funding to supplement emergency food and shelter programs in the county.

On Monday, the Hartwell City Council heard arguments from city residents stating their cases for or against liquor stores being established within city limits. The council also discussed and voted on a water and sewer tap fee increase for incoming homes and buildings.
