American Legion to honor our fallen heroes on Memorial Day

The American Legion Post 109 honors the fallen heroes by placing flags on the square and then on the graves of veterans around the county, all while holding a Memorial Day Ceremony on May 27 at 11 a.m. at the Hart County Courthouse.

Primary brings victories for incumbents

Election Day culminated in decisive victories for Hart County incumbents in every contested race. Data from the Hart County Board of Elections displayed that a mere 25.

Joey Dorsey is the commissioner for District 5 on the Hart County Board of Commissioners, and stands as the longest tenured member. He was first elected in  2000 at the age of 31 and took office January 1, 2001, serving as Chairman in 2002.
