Diamond Dogs pitcher and infielder Avery Strickland commits to Newberry College to continue his academic and baseball career. Back in the summer of 2023, Strickland was competing on his travel baseball team when they had a game at Newberry College.

Diamond Dogs swept by Lions to increase losing streak to six

The Lions of Hebron Christian complete the sweep in the series against the Diamond Dogs with  back-to-back wins. After losing a close game at home to the Lions on March 19, Hart traveled to Hebron Christian on March 20 for game two of the series.

Racket Dogs split matches against the Blue Devils

The Racket Dogs split against their rival Elbert County with hopes of finishing the season strong in their final region match against rival Franklin County. The Hart County High School boys and girls tennis teams traveled to Elberton to take on the Blue Devils of Elbert County.

Weather plays factor in Soccer Dogs trip to Oconee

Despite an 8-0 loss, the Lady Dogs held their ground against the defending AAA state champs, while the Dogs game was postponed due to lightning in the area.

Seniors defeat Juniors to remain undefeated in Powderpuff career

The seniors capped off their final Powderpuff football game with a 28-7 win over the juniors to remain undefeated in their Powderpuff career. The annual 2024 Powderpuff game took place under the lights in Herndon Stadium on March 21.

Hart County 4-H participates in Project Achievement

Hart County 4-H students in grades 7-12 participated in the Northeast District Project Achievement (DPA) at the Rock Eagle 4H Center March 1-3. In this event, 4-H’ers pick a project area of interest, and do project work in that area throughout the year.

Middle and high school students bring home State Championship trophies, medals

The Georgia Technology Student Association (TSA) held its State Leadership Conference March 13-16 at the Classic Center in Athens and teams from Hart County proved successful earning multiple state championships and medals.

Hartwell native Taylor Freeman made history last fall as she became the first ClemsonLIFE student to complete an American Sign Language [ASL] course at Clemson University.
