Lady Dogs claim the No. 2 seed in area

The Lady Dogs moved up to second place in the area, after capturing back-to-back wins on March 19. Hart traveled to East Jackson High School to take on the Lady Eagles as well as the Lady Devils of Elbert County. In game one, the Lady Dogs were set to play the Lady Devils.

HCHS FFA to host Spring plant sale

Hart County High School Horticulture students have been gearing up for the highly anticipated annual HCHS FFA Spring Plant Sale, set to take place on Friday, March 29, 2024. The event will run from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Around 4 p.m. on Tuesday, March 19, the Georgia State Patrol (GSP) responded to a Harbor Light Marina Road school bus crash with children onboard. Hart County Sheriff’s Office, Hart County EMS, and the Hart County Fire Department were also at the scene.

Hart GOP hosts candidate forum

As the Republican primary in May draws closer, featuring some highly-anticipated races, the Hart County GOP hosted a forum for voters to hear from its candidates.

Hart Community Theatre awarded $500,000 grant

The Hart County Community Theatre (HCCT) was awarded a multiyear grant of $500,000 from Atlanta’s Fabulous Fox Theatre during a ceremony in Georgia’s capitol city March 14. The grant signifies a landmark moment for the theater and the broader arts community in Georgia.

Racket Dogs find positives in losses to Hebron and Oconee

Regardless of back-to-back losses in region play to Hebron and Oconee, the Racket Dogs’ coaches find positives in each match heading into the final stretch of region play. On March 7, Hart traveled to Dacula to take on the Lions of Hebron Christian.

Lady Dogs in “must win” mode after dropping the region opener

After getting a win against Commerce at home, the Lady Dogs dropped their first region game of the season against Monroe Area on the road. Hart hosted the Lady Tigers of Commerce on March 8, as they looked to get back in the win column after coming off back-to-back losses.

The Diamond Dogs momentum after winning the final game of the Oconee County series was snapped by Franklin County’s shutout win. Hart hosted a double header against the Warriors of Oconee County on March 7.
