A remedy for racial strife in the U.S.

Those who think that they alone have the complete truth in analyzing difficult moral problems, are deceiving themselves. Such a position demonstrates a degree of pride and ignorance that will destroy any hope of successful solutions to the problems at hand.

Moratorium time must be spent wisely

Last Tuesday, the Hart County Board of Commissioners approved a wide-ranging moratorium on new subdivision developments, one which disallows development permits of subdivisions that would be built along county roads. It’s the second county moratorium currently in place.

Seeking research on the dreaded FAS

I am old. I know I’m old. The calendar, my back and hip, my hearing, memory and my teeth and even my wife tell me so. I know I’m not unique though; everyone, if they’re lucky, gets to do this. So at times I fight back a little.

Reminiscing on my marriage with Tom

For those of you who don’t know, my husband Tom is in the nursing home. He was admitted in February 2019, so it’s been three years. Of course the first year was hard. Thankfully we didn’t know what we had coming! And 2020 and 2021 were the most difficult years of our lives. . .however. . .
