Former Hart County and current Georgia Southern guard Torrion Starks earned the Freedom Fighter Player of the Game after a season high night against Hampton University. But she’s had to battle some adversity to get to this point.

Curry’s career night soars Dogs past Eagles

Freshman guard Kurston Curry’s 35 points helped the Dogs end their three-game skid with a win over Athens Christian, and gave them momentum heading into the McDonald’s Shootout. Hart canceled their game in the Dorman Invitational up in South Carolina on the weekend of Dec. 2.

Five Dogs represent Hart County in FCA All-Star Game

Five Hart County Bulldogs and one coach were selected and competed and coached in the 2023 Athens area FCA All-Star game on Saturday, Dec. 16 at Clarke Central High School.

Dogs on a three-game skid

The Dogs are looking for answers after dropping the past three games at Elbert County, at Oglethorpe, and at home against Jefferson. The Dogs made the 18-mile trip to the Inferno on Dec. 15 to take on rival Elbert County.

Lady Dogs drop two straight after defeating rival

Lady Dogs sweep Elbert County on the season before dropping back-to-back games at Oglethorpe County and at home versus Jefferson. Hart traveled to the Inferno on Dec. 15 to face the Lady Devils for the final time of the season.

Mat Dogs take home second place at Augusta tournament

The Hart County Mat Dogs look like they are beginning to turn the corner going 2-1 at Madison County and taking home second place at Lakeside Evans High School in Augusta. The Mat Dogs traveled to Madison County to compete in the Quads at Madison on Dec. 8.

Dogs rebound against Oglethorpe after loss to Madison

After one of the worst losses in Matt Gibbs’ time with Hart to Madison County, the Dogs bounced back and got a big win over Oglethorpe County. The Dogs were faced with a tough task as they hosted the No. 3 team in Class AAA and No. 16 team in the state — the Red Raiders of Madison County on Dec. 8.

Lady Dogs get back to their winning ways

The Lady Dogs won back-to-back games this past weekend to advance to 6-1 on the season. Hart hosted the Lady Raiders of Madison County on Dec. 8 to finish the non-region series between the two teams.

Mat Dogs fall at Elbert and split at Franklin

The Mat Dogs dropped both matches at the Elbert County Duals, but split to pick up their first region win at the Franklin County Duals. The Mat Dogs traveled to Elbert County on Nov. 29 to take on the Mat Devils and Harlem High School.
