Volley Dogs Elite Eight Bound

After back-to-back sweeps over Cedar Grove in the first round and LaFayette in the sweet sixteen, the Volley Dogs advance to the Elite Eight for the second time in school history to take on Columbus High School.

Lady Dogs season recap and way too early preview

Hart’s season came to an end in the 6-0 loss to Stephens County Oct. 10 in the first round of the region tournament. We take a moment to look back at the 2023 campaign, while also looking ahead to the 2024 season.

Boys Cross Country place first at 4th annual Krent Kramer Classic

The Hart County High School boys and girls cross country teams competed in the 4th Annual Kent Kramer Classic at Athens Christian Oct.12. As the boys brought home first place in the purple division. For the boys, senior Braydon Lane was the top finisher for the Dogs placing third.

Volley Dogs enter the state playoffs as the three seed out of Region 8-AAA

After sweeping Stephens County in the first round of the region tournament Oct. 12, the Volley Dogs lost in five sets to Hebron Christian, and defeated Monroe Area to capture the third-seed out of Region 8-AAA Oct. 14.

Hart County students to host 6th annual Fields of Faith event

HARTWELL—Students from Lake Hartwell FCA will join thousands of other youth on athletic fields across the nation on Wednesday, Oct. 25, to share their Christian faith with fellow students during the annual national Fellowship of Christian Athletes’ (FCA, www.fca.org) Fields of Faith event.

Lady Dogs shutout in region tournament to end season

The Lady Dogs were shutout in a6-0 loss in the first round of the region tournament. With the loss, it eliminated Hart from the remainder of the region tournament, while also ending their season. Hart traveled to Stephens County to take on the Lady Indians in the first round.

Dogs defense spears Warriors in second region win

With the help of two pick-sixes, the Dogs took down the Oconee County Warriors to capture their second region win, 27-16. It was the first cool and crisp fall night under the lights in Herndon Stadium as the Dogs got set to take on the Warriors. Hart won the toss and elected to begin the ball game.

Volley Dog’s Class of 2024 picks up their 100th win

The Volley Dogs senior class picked up their 100th win on senior night against Westside of Anderson, S.C. in four sets, 3-1. Hart hosted the Lady Rams of Westside in a best of five match for senior night.

Boys Cross Country places 12th at Mountain Invitational

The Hart County boys and girls cross country teams traveled to Helen to compete in the 2023 Mountain Invitational Sept. 28, where the boys placed 12th overall. For the boys, junior Nate Harris was the top finisher for the Dogs placing 21st.
