New salon opens in downtown Hartwell

Hartwell Main Street and the Hart County Chamber of Commerce welcomed Sunrise Gypsy Beauty Bar to town with a ribbon cutting ceremony October 3 in honor of their grand opening. A rousing crowd was on hand to welcome the beauty salon, located at 50 South Carter St. to the local community.

On September 27, the Hart County Board of Education announced its intention to increase property taxed levied in 2023 by 3.74 percent over the rollback millage rate. The board of tax assessors is required to review the assessed value of taxable property in Hart County.
