Tinsley Ellis, the world-renowned Atlanta-based guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter will celebrate his first-ever solo acoustic album with a live concert at High Cotton Music Hall Feb. 10 at 8 p.m. Ellis’s album Naked Truth, set to drop a day earlier on Feb.

Hartwell City Council welcomes two new members

On the evening of Jan. 8, Hartwell City Council ushered in the new year by swearing in two new members, social worker Zach Adams and Rev. Richard Sheller.

Board of Education funds gap

As Hart County Schools Superintendent Jennifer Carter read through the Board of Education’s financial report at its recent meeting Jan. 8, the financial strength of the system appeared stronger than ever. Carter announced the system is currently 8.

Hartwell man arrested after crashing stolen car into local law firm

On the evening of Dec. 30, Hart County Sheriff’s Office deputies were notified of a stolen dark-colored 2016 Ford Mustang on Bowman Hwy (Hwy 172) heading towards Hartwell. The vehicle had been reported stolen by the Amarillo Police Department in Amarillo, Texas.

Georgians Stand to Lose Freedom to Boat on Georgia’s Streams

A recent study conducted by a Georgia House of Representatives committee has raised concerns among the state’s river enthusiasts. The House Study Committee on Fishing Access to Freshwater Resources was tasked with clarifying where Georgians can legally fish on the state’s many freshwater streams.
